Lisa Maule is an award winning theatre designer from Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington who has contributed to the New Zealand performing arts scene over the past 30 years.
In addition to her performance design practice Lisa works in project management, research and coordination across education, performing arts and events. She is currently working for Te Rākau Theatre in the producing role of Kaiwhakahaere Kaupapa.
As an educator Lisa taught at Toi Whakaari: the New Zealand Drama School between 2008 and 2017 on the Performing Arts Management degree. In 2022 Lisa taught scenography at Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington. Lisa completed a Masters in Public Management in 2018 focusing on leadership practices in values-based organisations.
Lisa coordinates editing of Wikipedia as an accessible source of information. Lisa has been funded to run projects including a pilot Wikipedian-in-Residence programme with Creative New Zealand Pasifika Arts Aotearoa in 2022, attendance at the 2023 Wikimania Singapore and the 2024 ESEAP regional conference. She co-authored with Sophia Coghini a case study titled Pasifika Arts and Wikipedia.
